Your Privacy Matters

Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 08, 2026

1. Introduction

Lachin ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our technology platform and online booking software (SaaS) service.

This Privacy Policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other applicable data protection laws. By using our Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

Important: Lachin is a technology platform that connects passengers with independent transportation service providers. We process personal data necessary to facilitate these connections and provide our platform services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account Information: Name, email address, phone number, password (hashed)
  • Booking Information: Pickup and dropoff locations, dates, times, passenger count
  • Profile Information: Profile photo, preferences, saved addresses
  • Communication Data: Messages sent through our platform, support tickets
  • Payment Information: How you choose to pay (for example, cash or card to driver, or any wallet/credit option we offer); we do not store full payment card numbers on our servers unless a future checkout flow explicitly states otherwise

2.2 Information Automatically Collected

When you use our Service, we automatically collect:

  • Device Information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system
  • Usage Data: Pages visited, time spent, features used, search queries
  • Location Data: GPS coordinates (with your permission) for route calculation
  • Cookies and Tracking: See our Cookie Policy section below

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive information from:

  • Payment or messaging providers: If you pay or authenticate through a third party (e.g. card acquirer, bank, SMS, OAuth), that provider may send us limited confirmations (such as payment success or user identifier) as needed to operate the service
  • Authentication Providers: Google OAuth, Firebase (if you sign in with these services)
  • Service Providers: Transportation providers may share booking status updates

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and Improve Services: Facilitate bookings, connect you with transportation providers, optimize routes
  • Process Payments: Operate bookings, optional wallet or credits, and reconcile payments as described in the app or checkout
  • Communicate: Send booking confirmations, updates, support responses, marketing (with consent)
  • Security and Fraud Prevention: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
  • Legal Compliance: Comply with legal obligations, respond to legal requests
  • Analytics: Analyze usage patterns to improve our platform and services

4. Payment Processing and Credit Card Information

Payments and card data

For typical bookings, payment is made directly to the driver as shown at checkout (for example, cash or card to driver). In that flow, Lachin does not collect or store your full card details on our servers.

If we introduce card checkout, wallet top-ups, or another electronic payment method, we will describe the provider on the payment screen and in this policy. Any such provider is responsible for card data in its systems according to its own terms and PCI obligations.

  • We may store non-sensitive billing metadata needed for support and accounting (e.g. last four digits, brand, transaction ID) when a digital payment method is used
  • Refunds and disputes are handled per our Refund Policy and support unless another provider is named at checkout

We only use payment-related data as needed to operate bookings, optional wallet features, and fraud prevention.

5. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

5.1 Service Providers

  • Transportation Providers: We share necessary booking information (name, pickup/dropoff, contact) with drivers to fulfill bookings
  • Payment providers: Any bank or payment provider you use with us (see section 4 above)
  • Technology Providers: Cloud hosting, analytics, email services, SMS providers

5.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to:

  • Comply with legal obligations or court orders
  • Protect our rights, property, or safety
  • Prevent fraud or security threats
  • Respond to government requests

5.3 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity, subject to the same privacy protections.
